After certification is completed, Nordcert permits companies to mark their precast concrete products with the BBC marking and the CE marking, respectively.
The products included in the certified production control process, according to harmonised standards and to Nordcert´s certification rules, are listed in the established product register and on the certificate issued for the BBC marking and the CE marking, respectively.
Nordcert verifies that producers comply with requirements during inspections and when following-up on noted deviations.
An important part of our certification activities also focuses on disseminating information via courses and through our Information Day, thereby contributing to experience-led feedback and avoiding production mistakes.
Certification for the BBC marking relates to precast element products having no harmonised product standard. We also certify, for the BBC marking, producers located outside of Sweden whose production control is certified by another Notified Body and for whom we apply Nordcert´s certification rules for CE-marked products. In both these cases, the production control applies to the Swedish market. In the latter case, the BBC mark can be combined with the CE mark.
When certifying for the CE marking and BBC marking, production is split into group
A – prestressed elements and group B − non-prestressed elements.
